Where is my CSV?

Where is my CSV?

Ok, I did my MLS search and have the properties I want to place into a Listing Chart. I exported the CSV file, but I can’t find it.

Answer:

This is not something that Listing Charts controls. It is a function of your browser. Each of the major browsers are set up with a default location for all files you download or ‘export’ to your computer. Here are the default locations:

Chrome

As of mid-January 2026 using a desktop Windows or Mac, by default Chrome saves downloads to your “Downloads” folder:

    - Windows: C:\Users\<your username>\Downloads

    - macOS: /Users/<your username>/Downloads

If you want, you can customize the download location.

    1. Open Chrome Settings

    2. Go to Downloads

    3. Change the default location (e.g. Desktop).

Firefox

As of November 2025 using a desktop Windows or Mac, by default Firefox saves downloaded files to your system’s standard “Downloads” folder — for example:

    - Windows: C:\Users\<your username>\downloads

    - macOS: /Users/<your username>/Downloads

If you want, you can customize the download location.

    1. In Firefox click Menu () Settings (or Preferences on some platforms)

    2. Under General → Files and Applications, look for the Downloads section

    3. You’ll see either:

      1. ‘Save files to:’ and the folder Firefox uses. Change it to your preference (e.g. Desktop)

      2. ‘Always ask me where to save files.’ Tick this if you want to choose on every download.

Safari

As of late 2025 using a desktop Mac, by default Safari saves downloaded files to your Downloads folder in your user home directory (e.g., ~/Downloads).

If you want, you can change this (or have Safari ask you where to save each file) by going to:

    1. Safari → Settings/Preferences

    2. Click the General tab

    3. Find File download location

    4. Choose a new default folder, or select Ask for each download to pick a location everytime you save something

Safari also has a Downloads list button (arrow-down icon) in the toolbar — clicking it shows recent downloads and lets you reveal files in Finder.

Microsoft Edge
As of January 2026 by default, Microsoft Edge saves files you download to your system’s
standard Downloads folder — for example:
-Windows: C:\Users\<your username>\Downloads
(or whatever folder you’ve specified under Downloads in Settings)

When a download finishes, you can also click the down-arrow icon in the toolbar to see
the list and open the file or reveal it in File Explorer.
Note: If you accidentally choose “Open” instead of “Save” when downloading, Edge may
temporarily place the file in a temp folder (like
AppData\Local\Temp\MicrosoftEdgeDownloads…) to run or preview it — it might not
show up in your Downloads folder until you explicitly save it.

If you want, you can customize the download location.
    1. 1.Open Microsoft Edge
2.Go to Settings and more () → Settings
      3.Select Downloads
4.Under Location, click Change and pick the folder you want
(You can also enable “Ask where to save each file before downloading” so you
      choose the folder every time.)
